Select Resume Databases - Establishing Access to Your Resume Databases

This is where you input your logins for the resume databases you want the RAM to access on your behalf.

Click on "Select Resume Databases" to establish your logins.

Remember, you MUST click on "UPDATE" at the bottom of the page to save your data!

Search Resumes - Running a Search

Enter your Resume Search Criteria.

Note: The first field is Keywords: Keywords are important!

The RAM accurately does exactly what you tell it; if you want to only review qualified resumes, you MUST master the use of keywords - it will only take you a few minutes, and we give you several examples.

Click here (Important Keyword Information) for a short tutorial on using keywords.

Search Resumes - Your Initial Result Set

The RAM accesses all resume databases simultaneously and begins indexing and ranking the results as they are received.

As you know, some resume databases are slower than others. For this reason, the RAM begins displaying resumes upon receipt - so you can start reviewing qualified resumes immediately.

Written in red, in the upper left section of your Search Results Page are messages from the RAM. The RAM will alert you if there are any problems with a resume database, or if a retrieval is still running.

While you review your initial set of resumes, at the top left of your screen there is a link - "Click here to Refresh Your Results." Each time you click this link, you are updating the order of your search results to include the newest resumes in the keyword relevance ranking (see below).

Search Resumes - Results & Keyword Relevancy Ranking

The RAM retrieves, aggregates and compares all resumes from all sources against each other, then displays the most relevant resumes (based on the keywords you input) at the top of your list.

Most job boards display resumes in an order of their choice, requiring you to read every single resume. The most qualified resume could be on the very last page of the results, but you wouldn't know it unless you read every resume. This is a waste of your time!

The RAM automatically displays the resumes in order of their relevance to your keywords, and the other resumes in the result set. The most relevant resumes are at the top of the list.

The result - stop reading the non-relevant resumes; you can immediately begin reading the most appropriate resumes, first, then work your way down the list.

Search Resumes - Viewing Your Resumes

You can sort the results by clicking on any of the column headers.

Click on "View Details" to see a resume. The resume will pop up into another browser - so that you can easily get back to your search results.

You will also notice that each resume has your keywords highlighted (see below). You can quickly scan a resume for the context of your keywords, to quickly determine if the candidate is worth pursuing.

Also note that it is possible to perform some of the "Managing Your Resumes" and "Exporting Resumes" functions described later in this document. These functions on this page are limited to the one resume you are viewing. Whereas, these functions as described later, are applicable to a group of resumes.

Search Resumes - Highlighting of Keywords in Resume Documents

The RAM makes it easy for YOU to determine how qualified a candidate is.

Your keyword search terms are highlighted on the candidate's resume.

No longer is it necessary to read the entire resume, word for word - you can quickly scan the document for your search terms, then easily read the surrounding context to determine if the candidate is qualified.

Managing Your Resumes - Sub-Searching Your Result Set

Once you've retrieved resumes from your resume databases, the RAM permits you to further query your results by inputting additional keywords into the SubSearch function.

In short, after retrieving all qualified resumes from your resume databases, you can now reorganize the results based upon each of your desired (not required) skills so that you can easily find the most qualified candidates.

Managing Your Resumes - The RAM Action Icons

Why do something twice, when once is will suffice?

To expedite your resume review process, both now, and in the future, the RAM records every action you take with each resume. An icon appears next to the resume to alert you if you have already done something with the resume.

Here is a list of the icons used by the RAM:

Viewed Resume
Each time you click on "View Details" for a resume, the RAM will mark the resume as viewed with this icon - anytime this resume appears in your display (or in future search results), you will always know if you've already read this resume.
Email Sent to Candidate
When you send an Email to the candidate, the RAM will mark the resume with this icon - anytime this resume appears in your display (or in future search results), you will always know if you've already sent an Email to this candidate.
Resume Exported via Email
When you export a resume out of the RAM, the RAM will mark the resume with this icon - anytime this resume appears in your display (or in future search results), you will always know that you've already exported this resume via Email. Note: this is not the same as sending an Email to the candidate.
Resume Uploaded to ATS
This feature is available (at no additional charge), but must be configured by your corporate office. The RAM provides one click Upload (export) of resumes to your ATS. This is an Enterprise Wide icon - meaning if you, or anyone else within your organization, has already uploaded this resume to your ATS, this icon will appear next to this resume for all of your users.

Managing Your Resumes - Folders (Saving Resumes for Quick Access)

Use the Folders function to remove resumes from the result set and store them for quick access. It is no longer necessary to sort back through hundreds of resumes to find the few of interest to you.

Folders include the SubSearch function, permitting you to keyword search all resumes in a particular folder.

To create a Folder, click on the Folders link at the top of the page.

How to store resumes in a Folder - From the Search Results screen you can "Select All" or individually select resumes to move to the specified Folder.

To access resumes stored in a "Folder", click on the "Folders" link at the top of your screen. Each of your Folders is displayed (by the name you assigned), and clicking on a Folder displays all of the resumes you saved in the Folder - with the SubSearch function enabled.

Managing Your Resumes - Letters (Emails to Candidates)

The RAM permits you to store "Letters", and Email these to candidates.

To create a Letter, click on the "Letters" link at the top of the page.

How to Email Candidates - From the Search Results screen you can "Select All" or individually select candidates to receive an Email from you. Once you've selected the resumes from the page, click on "Email" - a confirmation page will display.

Exporting Resumes - Emailing Resumes out of the RAM

If your company has enabled this feature, this function permits you to Email one resume, or multiple resumes, to an Email address.

Note: this is NOT the same as sending an Email (from the "Letters" function) to candidates. With this function, you are exporting resumes to an Email address of your choosing; you are not directly contacting the candidate.

How to Export Resumes via Email - From the Search Results screen you can "Select All" or individually select resumes to export.

Once you've selected the resumes from the page, click on "Email" - a confirmation page will display.

Exporting Resumes - Uploading to your ATS

This feature is only available when your corporate office has enabled this function (there is no additional charge for it).

With one click, you can upload a resume to your company's proprietary resume database (Applicant Tracking System - ATS). When your company has configured this for you, the RAM will mark the resume with this icon ().

This feature, Upload to ATS, is an enterprise icon, meaning that if another User within your organization had previously uploaded this resume to your ATS, you will see this icon. This should reduce the amount of time you need to query your ATS to see if the candidate already exists.
